Exquisite Restraint Corsets owner/designer Simone C Williams has recently seen her corsets being chosen by fetish stalwarts Christophe Mourthé and Steve Diet Goedde for shoots featuring fetish fashion star Emily Marilyn and America’s Next Top Model front-runner Lisa D’Amato.

Based in Los Angeles, Exquisite offers custom work and personal service to a wide range of corseting enthusiasts from the fetish, goth and TV/TS communities, as well as catering to the mainstream markets for bridal wear and fashion outerwear. The recent shoots with Mourthé and Goedde both came about as a result of happy coincidences.

“The way I meet models and photographers is ‘viral’,” Simone tells us. “I met Emily Marilyn through photographer Mitzi & Co, which led to a great relationship. Emily and I live very close to each other and I hand her corsets to put in her suitcase for trips to Paris and shoots with Christophe Mourthé.”

The designer met our other featured photographer, Steve Diet Goedde, through their mutual pal Molly McGee, aka Molly Made, the creator of the legendary So Hip It Hurts latex line. “It just happens that Molly and I were rabid fans of America’s Next Top Model. We ran into Lisa D’Amato at a coffee shop in LA, and managed to convince her to shoot with Steve, using my corsets and Molly’s styling flair. It was a serendipitous collaboration and a joy for me to work with the three of them.”

The first six images in our gallery come from one of the Emily Marilyn/Christophe Mourthé shoots. “The brown overbust corset is a ‘post-modern period corset’ of my design,” Simone explains. “The purple underbust corset features mixed fabrics, silk flowers and hand beading.”

A third Exquisite Restraint corset in green and gold is modelled by Kyla Cole, who by coincidence also features in this edition’s Atsuko Kudo fashion portfolio (also shot by Mourthé).

The final three images by Steve Diet Goedde feature Lisa D’Amato in another of Simone’s underbust corsets. Hair and styling was by Molly McGee and Make-up by Catherine Crump at makeupbycatherine.com.
