Early February sees the opening of new Las Vegas art space Sin City Gallery with an exhibition by legendary fetish photographer Steve Diet Goedde.
Encompassing elements of fetish, fashion and classic Hollywood intrigue, Goedde's Dream Menagerie promises a dreamy look into the world of modern glamour photography.
Says Steve: “The show is basically a select retrospective of my work for the past 20 years. It will feature a range of all my styles including fetish, retro, glamour, and my recent explorations in high-tech, low-fi iPhone imagery.”
Also available for sale will be silver gelatin prints, hand-developed by the artist.
The exhibition runs from February 3 to 26, with an artist reception to be held on Friday February 4 from 7pm to 10pm.
Owned by well-regarded erotic art appraisal specialist Dr Laura Henkel of Laura Henkel Fine Art, Sin City promises “daring and eclectic art from around the corner and around the world”.
The gallery was created because of the “overwhelming positive response” to Dr Henkel’s art exhibitions, which are known for their tasteful but edgy style.
As well as housing the original Laura Henkel Fine Art business, Sin City will be a home base to make-up artist and gallery manager Lou Lou Roxy and Nytronix Fire Performance Group.
Sin City Gallery can be found within The Arts Factory — the heart of the 18b Arts District, off Las Vegas’ famous Strip.
“It’s important for Sin City to be located in the true heart of Las Vegas’ arts and culture,” says Laura, “as the gallery is designed to accelerate the pulse of the arts community with sophisticated exhibitions.”
Other kink-friendly events scheduled for Sin City this year include a collaboration with San Francisco’s Femina Potens Art Gallery and one of its regular contributors, bondage model Madison Young.
Sin City Gallery is located inside The Arts Factory at 107 E Charleston Boulevard, Suite 100 in Las Vegas.
